GAZ-SYSTEM FORUM – the 3rd part of the information package

The new formula of GAZ-SYSTEM FORUM, adopted for the duration of COVID-19, assumes providing market participants with information describing current issues related to functioning  and development of the gas market and usage of services offered by the operator. In the third part of the information package, GAZ-SYSTEM Customers will find information on status of construction of  strategic infrastructure projects including a.i. the interconnectors with Denmark, Slovakia and Lithuania as well as the extension of President Lech Kaczyński's LNG Terminal in Świnoujście.

 The third information package published on 6th May 2020 dedicated to the expansion of the system of domestic and cross-border gas connections. It contains a.i.  an overview of all GAZ-SYSTEM infrastructure projects  recognised on the 4th  list of Projects of Common Interest (PCI) adapted by the European Parliament as well as the current status of implementation of the works related to construction of connections with Denmark, Slovakia and Lithuania, including information on the selection of the contractor for the construction works of offshore section of the Baltic Pipe.

It also contains information on the scope of the project of extending the Terminal in Świnoujście  as well as the ongoing  Open Season 2020 Procedure for the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście.

GAZ-SYSTEM Customers can submit questions concerning each of the presented  issues, which will be  addressed via email. We intend to publish the set of received questions together with provided answers in an anonymous form, if the Customers who contact us express their consent in that matter.

GAZ-SYSTEM plays a strategic role in the Polish economy. We are responsible for natural gas transmission and operate the most important gas pipelines in Poland. The Company is implementing one of the most important infrastructural projects in Poland – the Baltic Pipe project, which consists in the construction of a bidirectional offshore gas pipeline connecting Poland and Denmark and the expansion of the local transmission network.

GAZ-SYSTEM also owns Polskie LNG, the operator of the President Lech Kaczyński's LNG Terminal in Świnoujście.
