GAZ-SYSTEM FORUM in remote form

Due to the current epidemic situation, the GAZ-SYSTEM workshops organized for the participants of the gas market will be prepared in a new remote formula. By using this form of contact, the company will securely conduct a dialogue with market participants and provide relevant information to current and potential customers.

As part of the new formula of GAZ-SYSTEM FORUM, adopted for the duration of COVID-19, the market participants will receive information materials describing the current issues related to the functioning  and development of the gas market and usage of services offered by GAZ-SYSTEM.

The first information package with the summary of the most important events and changes in the market environment was published on April 23, 2020. It outlines proposals of new provisions and results of the TGPS TNC market consultations conducted in March, as well as describes changes at interconnectors at the border with Germany and Ukraine and developed incremental capacity projects as part of the incremental procedure for years 2019-2021.

GAZ-SYSTEM Customers can submit questions concerning each of the presented  issues, which will be then answered to via email. We also intend to publish the set of received questions and answers in an anonymous form, if the Customers who contact us express their consent in that matter.

In the next information packages, which will be published in the nearest future, will deal i.a. with the current status of implementation of the works related to building connections with Denmark, Slovakia and Lithuania as well as the issues of participation in the annual product auctions for the interconnections at the Polish-German border.

GAZ-SYSTEM plays a strategic role in the Polish economy. We are responsible for natural gas transmission and operate the most important gas pipelines in Poland. As part of the 2015-2025 investment programme, GAZ-SYSTEM plans to build over 2000 km of new gas pipelines in western, southern and eastern parts of Poland. Further development of the national transmission network, including the construction of new gas pipelines making part of the North-South Gas Corridor, as well as the construction of interconnections with the neighbouring countries, will strengthen Poland’s energy security and make an important contribution to the development of the European transmission system.

The Company is implementing one of the most important infrastructural projects in Poland – the Baltic Pipe project, which consists in the construction of a bidirectional offshore gas pipeline connecting Poland and Denmark and the expansion of the local transmission network.

GAZ-SYSTEM also owns Polskie LNG, the operator of the President Lech Kaczyński's LNG Terminal in Świnoujście.
