GAZ-SYSTEM has ensured investor deliveries for key investments

The company has signed framework agreements for the purchase of gas fittings necessary for the construction of a compressor station and gas pipelines. The agreements for the total amount exceeding PLN 89.5 million have been concluded with three contractors. The agreements shall have a four-year validity period.

The signed agreements are related to the delivery of ball valves of DN 1000, DN 700, DN 200-500 in diameter and wedge gate valves of DN 200-300 in diameter. The purchased fittings will be used for the construction, inter alia, of a compressor station in Gustorzyn and expansion in Odolanow and Goleniow, which constitute an onshore component of the Baltic Pipe project. Individual orders will be executed on the basis of separate partial agreements concluded each time, upon the acceptance of the best offer.

The contractors have been revealed based on an open and competitive tender procedure. GAZ-SYSTEM has signed agreements with three companies: GAZOMET, CP TRADE and a consortium consisting of P.R.U.H. ARMA-POL s.c. Stanisław Kulka, Robert Płotnicki and Armatury Group a.s. The scope of delivery covers fittings necessary for gas compressor station operation. Extension of these facilities shall enable controlling the transmission system based on the needs of customers within the country, and transmission to neighbouring countries in order to create a competitive gas market in our region.

GAZ-SYSTEM plays a strategic role in the Polish economy. We are responsible for natural gas transmission and operate the most important gas pipelines in Poland. As part of the 2015-2025 investment programme, GAZ-SYSTEM plans to build over 2000 km of new gas pipelines in western, southern and eastern parts of Poland. Further development of the national transmission network, including the construction of new gas pipelines making part of the North-South Gas Corridor, as well as the construction of interconnections with the neighbouring countries, will strengthen Poland’s energy security and make an important contribution to the development of the European transmission system.

The Company is implementing one of the most important infrastructural projects in Poland – the Baltic Pipe project, which consists in the construction of a bidirectional offshore gas pipeline connecting Poland and Denmark and the expansion of the local transmission network.

GAZ-SYSTEM also owns Polskie LNG, the operator of the President Lech Kaczyński's LNG Terminal in Świnoujście.
