Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. published “GAZ-SYSTEM’s Rules of the Auction of Bundled Product at IP Mallnow” along with supporting documents agreed with the Energy Regulatory Office

Polish TSO – Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. acting as the operator of the Transmission Gas Pipeline System (TGPSO, called “GAZ-SYSTEM ISO” at the PRISMA) and German TSO GASCADE Gastransport GmbH are going to offer a firm bundled capacity.

The capacities will be made available at the PRISMA Primary Platform in an auction of bundled quarterly products for the following periods:

• Quarter April 2014 – June 2014: 2 917 792 kWh/h (282 677 m3/h in accordance with the GOST standard, which is 263 365 m3/h in normal conditions),
• Quarter July 2014 – September 2014: 2 917 792 kWh/h (282 677 m3/h in accordance with the GOST standard, which is 263 365 m3/h in normal conditions.

The auction is scheduled to be conducted on 24th of February 2014, starting from 9 AM CET.

The bundled capacity will be offered according to the Terms and Conditions of GASCADE and “GAZ-SYSTEM’s Rules of the Auction of Bundled Product at IP Mallnow”

Before the auctions, the shippers interested in the capacity to be offered should register at the PRISMA primary platform and obtain approval to participate in auction from both TSO’s („GAZ-SYSTEM ISO” and GASCADE).

Please be informed that due to the fact, that during the auction a capacity of the Polish section of the Yamal pipeline will be allocated, it is necessary to register on the PRISMA primary platform for “GAZ-SYSTEM ISO”. This requirement applies to all users, including those who are registered on the platform PRISMA primary as a "shipper" for GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.


According to the new Transmission Network Code of Polish Section of the Jamal Pipeline (TNC TGPS)  auction for the bundled  product at the Point of Interconnection (PwP) (A point that comprises all the physical points located at the interconnection of the KSP with the SGT) will be held on Information Exchange System (IES) platform.

* Contractual conditions according to GOST – reference conditions for the determination of gas volume for billing purposes. According to the National Standard of the Russian Federation (GOST):  temperature 20 ºC (293.15 K)  and pressure 0.101325 MPa (equivalent to atmospheric pressure).
* Normal conditions – reference conditions for the determination of gas volume for billing purposes. According to the applicable Polish Standard: temperature 0ºC (273.15 K) and pressure 0.101325 MPa (equivalent to atmospheric pressure).
* Conversion coefficient used by GAZ-SYSTEM  S.A. to translate transmission capacity for the SGT, expressed as gas volume under contractual conditions according to GOST, into normal conditions is 0.93168.

 

GAZ-SYSTEM is a strategic company for the Polish economy. It is responsible for the transmission of natural gas, manages the most important gas pipelines in Poland and owns the President Lech Kaczyński LNG Terminal in Świnoujście.

As part of the 2015-2025 investment programme, GAZ-SYSTEM is constructing over 2000 km of new gas pipelines in the western, southern and eastern parts of Poland. Over a dozen new gas pipelines are under construction within the North-South Gas Corridor and the compressor station in Kędzierzyn Koźle, as well as interconnections with Lithuania and Slovakia. Onshore gas pipelines are planned to connect the planned FSRU floating terminal in the Gulf of Gdansk with the national transmission system. The LNG Terminal in Świnoujście is also being extended, as a result of which the regasification capacity of this facility will be increased by more than a half.

The company is also implementing one of the most important infrastructural projects in the country - the Baltic Pipe project which consists in the construction of a two-way offshore gas pipeline connecting Poland and Denmark, expansion of the local transmission network and three gas compressor stations.
