GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. in the Ranking of Responsible Companies 2013

We have the pleasure of informing you that our company was ranked seventh among companies from the energy sector and thirty first in the general Ranking of Responsible Companies 2013 prepared by the Business Ethics Centre at the Koźmiński University and the Gazeta Prawna magazine. For us this means an advancement by two places in the industry and by nine places in the general ranking.

"The Ranking of Responsible Companies brings together enterprises in which financial benefits are being achieved congruently with respect for the natural environment and social opinion. I am pleased with the fact that we have achieved a higher position in the ranking than last year and I hope that measures which we are currently implementing will allow us to achieve an even higher position next year" – says Małgorzata Polkowska, the company's spokesperson.

The Ranking of Responsible Companies is organized every year. More than 500 companies were invited to participate in this year's edition, which is already the seventh edition. The Ranking was developed on the basis of a questionnaire prepared by Bolesław Rok, Ph. D., expert from the Business Ethics Centre at the Koźmiński University, in cooperation with the consulting company, PwC, which was responsible for verifying the study. This year's questionnaire has 60 closed questions, broken down into five areas: responsible leadership, dialogue with the stakeholders, social involvement, responsible management and social innovativeness.

GAZ-SYSTEM is a strategic company for the Polish economy. It is responsible for the transmission of natural gas, manages the most important gas pipelines in Poland and owns the President Lech Kaczyński LNG Terminal in Świnoujście.

As part of the 2015-2025 investment programme, GAZ-SYSTEM is constructing over 2000 km of new gas pipelines in the western, southern and eastern parts of Poland. Over a dozen new gas pipelines are under construction within the North-South Gas Corridor and the compressor station in Kędzierzyn Koźle, as well as interconnections with Lithuania and Slovakia. Onshore gas pipelines are planned to connect the planned FSRU floating terminal in the Gulf of Gdansk with the national transmission system. The LNG Terminal in Świnoujście is also being extended, as a result of which the regasification capacity of this facility will be increased by more than a half.

The company is also implementing one of the most important infrastructural projects in the country - the Baltic Pipe project which consists in the construction of a two-way offshore gas pipeline connecting Poland and Denmark, expansion of the local transmission network and three gas compressor stations.
