GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. – the Best Employer of 2013

GAZ-SYSTEM SA took first place in the Best Employers 2013 survey in the category “very large companies employing more than 1,000 workers in Poland”. The survey, conducted June-July 2013, covered 95 companies representing approximately 50,000 respondents.

The company participated in the study, conducted by Aon Hewitt, for the sixth time. In this year's survey, opinions were provided by over 1000 employees of GAZ-SYSTEM SA, which constitutes almost 50% of the company’s workforce.

The GAZ-SYSTEM SA Employee Engagement Index reached its highest level yet at 87%, which represented a 2-point increase compared to last year. This result is a whopping 39 percentage points higher than the overall average for Poland (48%).

The survey once again ranked GAZ-SYSTEM SA among the leading employers not only in Poland but also the Central and Eastern Europe region, said Jan Chadam, President of the Board, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. Every year I stress what a major challenge it will be for company management to maintain such a high result in the future. And it turns out that year after year the level of employee satisfaction rises by a few more percentage points. For me this is a real reason to take pride in working with such a group of employees and implementing ambitious projects that are important for the entire economy.

GAZ-SYSTEM SA also won first prize in the Best Employers survey in the Central and Eastern Europe region in 2011 and 2012. Aon Hewitt will announce the results of this year’s survey for this part of the continent at the end of the year.

GAZ-SYSTEM is a strategic company for the Polish economy. It is responsible for the transmission of natural gas, manages the most important gas pipelines in Poland and owns the President Lech Kaczyński LNG Terminal in Świnoujście.

As part of the 2015-2025 investment programme, GAZ-SYSTEM is constructing over 2000 km of new gas pipelines in the western, southern and eastern parts of Poland. Over a dozen new gas pipelines are under construction within the North-South Gas Corridor and the compressor station in Kędzierzyn Koźle, as well as interconnections with Lithuania and Slovakia. Onshore gas pipelines are planned to connect the planned FSRU floating terminal in the Gulf of Gdansk with the national transmission system. The LNG Terminal in Świnoujście is also being extended, as a result of which the regasification capacity of this facility will be increased by more than a half.

The company is also implementing one of the most important infrastructural projects in the country - the Baltic Pipe project which consists in the construction of a two-way offshore gas pipeline connecting Poland and Denmark, expansion of the local transmission network and three gas compressor stations.
