Consultation on the list of proposed Projects of Common Interest
On 22 December 2014 the European Commission launched a public consultation on the list of proposed Projects of Common Interest in the field of electricity and gas transmission infrastructure. The objective of this consultation is to seek the views of stakeholders and the public on the need for a gas or electricity project from an EU energy policy perspective bringing together security of supply, market integration, competition and sustainability. The consultation is open until 13 March 2015.
The consultations may be found on the “Your Voice in Europe” website and are an important step on the path towards the preparation of the second list of Projects of Common Interest which will be published by the European Commission in October 2015.

Environmental consultations for Zdzieszowice-Wrocław gas pipeline
he Regional Director for Environmental Protection in Opole, acting in consultation with the Regional Director for Environmental Protection in Wrocław, is conducting a procedure on issuing a decision on environmental conditions for the “Construction of gas pipeline Zdzieszowice – Wrocław DN1000 MOP 8.4 MPa ca. 130 km with adjacent facilities and the necessary service infrastructure, including ca. 46 km long Section I: Brzeg – Zębice – Kiełczów, ca. 84 km long Section II: Zdzieszowice – Brzeg”.
The execution and impact of the Zdzieszowice – Wrocław gas pipeline construction stage covers the following Gminas in the Opole Voivodeship: Krapkowice, Zdzieszowice, Tarnów Opolski, Opole, Dąbrowa, Prószków, Leśnica, Olszanka, Skarbimierz and Lewin Brzeski and the following Gminas in the Lower Silesia Voivodeship: Oława, Czernica and Długołęka.
The project has been supported by an environmental impact report.
The parties involved may read the documentation on the case, which can be accessed in the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection (RDOŚ) in Opole at 66 Obrońców Stalingradu Street, room 4.12 from Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm.
