The activity of Gas Transmission Operator GAZ – SYSTEM S.A. is regulated by a number of legislative acts, including in particular:

• Energy Law of 10 April 1997 (consolidated text: Dz. U. 2006, no 89, item 625, as amended),
• Ordinance of the Minster of Economy of 6 Ferbuary 2008 concerning detailed principles of tariff design and calculation, and settlements in gas trade (Dz. U.  nr 28 poz. 165),
• Ordinance of the Minister of Economy, Labour and Social Policy of 6 April 2004 concerning detailed conditions applicable to connection of consumers to gas networks and the operation of such networks (Dz. U. 2004, no 105, item 1113),
• Ordinance of the Minister of Economy of 30 July 2001 concerning the technical conditions to be met by gas networks (Dz. U. 2001, no 97, item 1055),
• Construction Law of 7 July 1994 (consolidated text: Dz. U. 2006, no 156 item 1118, as amended),
• The Act of 16 February 2007 on oil, oil products and natural gas reserves and the procedures in case of a threat to the national security of supply and disturbances in the oil market (Dz.U. 2007, no. 52 item 343).
