Strachocina–Pogórska Wola pipeline
Investment description
The project consists of the development of the gas pipeline Strachocina - Pogórska Wola. The pipeline will be a section of the 700 mm gas main Hermanowice-Pogórska Wola located on a new route. The construction of the 700 mm Strachocina – Pogórska Wola pipeline measuring 120 km is on the reserve list of projects for the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment.
The development of this section of the gas main will enable imported gas transmission from Hermanowice to Pogórska Wola and then further towards Silesia. This project will also enable direct gas transmission from UGS Strachocina to the transmission system in the western direction. This will considerably reduce the operation costs of the transmission system and shorten the imported gas transmission route as well as reduce outlays for the modernization and maintenance of gas pipelines on the route Hermanowice-Jarosław-Pogórska Wola.
System development along the new route will increase the capacity of the transmission system which will be necessary to ensure gas supply to customers in the case of the implementation of investments related to the construction of gas-fired power plants. The connection of UGS Strachocina with a high capacity gas pipeline will improve energy safety by enabling the full use of the capabilities of the developed gas storage.

Summary of work progress
• On 5 August 2009, the General Shareholders' Meeting consented to the acquisition of fixed assets as a result of the public contract granted for the selection of a contractor for the preparation of a technical dossier in respect to the investment project entitled „Construction of a DN 700 gas pipeline Strachocina –Pogórska Wola L=120km”.
• A public proceeding has been launched aiming at the selection of a contractor for the preparation of the technical dossier related to the investment project entitled „Construction of a DN 700 gas pipeline Strachocina –Pogórska Wola L=120km”.
