New Vice-President of the Management Board of GAZ-SYSTEM

The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of OGP GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. decided to appoint Krzysztof Jackowski to the Management Board of the company. He is performing this function since 1 January 2019.

Until December 2018, Krzysztof Jackowski was the Director of the Service Office of the Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure, and from July 2017 a member of the Supervisory Board of OGP GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. He was responsible for the ownership supervision of PSE S.A., OGP GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. and PERN S.A., including the strategic investments of these companies. He developed legal acts concerning the energy sector and was responsible for the area of international cooperation of the Plenipotentiary.

During his professional career he worked in law firms. He headed the Department of Legislation and Deposit Protection in the Department of Geological Supervision of the Ministry of the Environment. He was also a member of the Supervisory Board of Naftoserwis sp. z o.o.

The new Vice-President of GAZ-SYSTEM is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He completed a course in American law at the Center for American Law at the University of Warsaw. He is a licensed solicitor. He also completed postgraduate studies in the field of energy industry.

Krzysztof Jackowski was appointed Vice-President of the Management Board of GAZ-SYSTEM on 1 January 2019. Thus, the Management Board of the company will perform its functions in a three-person composition.

GAZ-SYSTEM plays a strategic role in the Polish economy. We are responsible for natural gas transmission and operate the most important gas pipelines in Poland. As part of the 2015-2025 investment programme, GAZ-SYSTEM plans to build over 2000 km of new gas pipelines in western, southern and eastern parts of Poland. Further development of the national transmission network, including the construction of new gas pipelines making part of the North-South Gas Corridor, as well as the construction of interconnections with the neighbouring countries, will strengthen Poland’s energy security and make an important contribution to the development of the European transmission system.

The Company is implementing one of the most important infrastructural projects in Poland – the Baltic Pipe project, which consists in the construction of a bidirectional offshore gas pipeline connecting Poland and Denmark and the expansion of the local transmission network.

GAZ-SYSTEM also owns Polskie LNG, the operator of the President Lech Kaczyński's LNG Terminal in Świnoujście.
