GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. in a continuous dialogue with its suppliers
GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. has once again invited its suppliers to an orientation meeting concerned with gas infrastructure expansion-related tenders that are expected to be placed within the framework of the transmission system development project to be completed by 2027. The meeting was attended by representatives of 85 companies.
“The initiative of periodic meetings with suppliers fits in well with the strategy of our company. GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. plans to continue with the implementation of its investment plan. Therefore, we are taking good care of our business relations, and strive to shape the standards in effect on the public procurement market. The exchange of opinions and experience offers a good basis for establishing solutions that are satisfactory for us - as the investor - and for our partners - acting in the capacity of contractors. Therefore, the Company will continue with its supplier meeting program.” - said Artur Zawartko, Vice President of the Board, in his opening speech.
Representatives of the company have ceased the opportunity to present the growth strategy and the investments planned until 2018 and 2027. A great deal of attention has been attached to the requirements concerned with the preparation of tender dossiers. Furthermore, the quality assurance system required at the project design and implementation phase has been discussed, along with the procurement policy and the role of communications in the investment process.
“From the point of view of contractors performing construction works, supplier meetings organized by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. are a very important initiative. First of all, they enable us to plan our human- and equipment-related potential, meaning that the company’s resources can be used more efficiently. The plans presented today will also help us determine the long-term strategy of our company. The meetings also serve as a perfect platform for discussions and for exchanging experience with the representatives of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A., which translates into smoother communication at the tender preparation stage” - said Jakub Wolański, ZRUG.
As always, the meeting had the form of a constructive discussion during which representatives of the suppliers and of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. exchanged their experiences and pointed out the areas in which future cooperation is possible.

Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is a strategic company for the Polish economy, responsible for the transmission of natural gas and the management of the most important gas pipelines in Poland. GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is also the owner of Polskie LNG S.A., a company established to build the Świnoujście LNG terminal.
As part of its 2015-2025 investment scheme, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is planning to build over 2,000 km of new gas lines in western, southern and eastern Poland. Further expansion of the domestic transmission system, including construction of new gas pipelines being part of the North-South Gas Corridor, as well as construction of interconnections with Lithuania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, will enhance Poland’s energy security and contribute considerably to the development of the European transmission system.
In 2009-2015, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. completed an investment plan consisting in the construction of over 1,200 km of new gas transmission lines in north-western and central Poland. The projects implemented by the company and the physical and virtual reversal on the Yamal pipeline have translated into a significant increase in technical import opportunities on routes other than from the East.
