Strachocina-Pogórska Wola gas pipeline
Description of the investment
The aim of the project is the construction of the Strachocina - Pogórska Wola gas pipeline, which is 1000 mm in diameter and measuring approximately 98 km in length. The gas pipeline will constitute a section of the main gas pipeline 700 mm Hermanowice – Pogórska Wola located on a new route. The investment is planned to be finished in 2019.
The construction of this section of the main gas pipeline will enable the transmission of gas from Hermanowice imports to Pogórska Wola and further in the direction of Śląsk, as well as the transmission of gas from the Underground Gas Storage (UGS) in Strachocina to the transmission system directly in the western direction. This will significantly reduce the operating costs of the transmission system by reducing the gas transmission route from imports.
- increasing the capacity of the transmission system in the western direction,
- the connection with UGS Strachocina through the gas pipeline with a higher capacity will enable increased energy security by facilitating full utilisation of the capacity of the developed gas storage.
- estimated value of the investment: 445 MM PLN
