Radlin-Racibórz gas pipeline
Description of the project
The project aims at constructing the Radlin-Racibórz pipeline with the length of approximately 21 km and the diameter of 300 mm. The pipeline will be located in the Śląskie Voivodeship, on the territory of the following municipalities: Wodzisław Śląski, Radlin, Pszów, Kornowac and Racibórz.
The planned gas pipeline will run along the existing high pressure pipeline. The project is planned to be executed in the years 2017-2018.
Advantages of the project
The high pressure Radlin - Racibórz gas pipeline constitutes an important element facilitating the security of gas fuel supplies on the border between Śląskie and Opolskie voivodeships.
Completion of the project will allow to:
- increase the capacity of the transmission system,
- make the region more attractive for investors,
- reduce the pipeline’s impact zone,
- ensure reliable operation of the pipeline,
- enhance the safety of gas transmission within the region.
The local community will benefit greatly from the real estate tax paid annually and equaling 2% of the value of the pipeline’s section located in the territory of a given municipality.
All investment projects executed by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. are implemented with respect for the natural environment and in compliance with the requirements of Polish and EU legislation. Environmental decisions are issued for all gas pipelines to be constructed, and the provisions thereof are closely adhered to. In addition, air, water and soil emissions are monitored on a continuous basis, and the materials used for pipeline construction hold all required approvals and certificates.
