Lwówek-Odolanów gas pipeline

Project description

The subject of the project is the construction of a high-pressure gas pipeline from Lwówek to Odolanów of a diameter of 1000 mm, an operating pressure of 8.4 MPa and a length of 168 km.

The project has been divided into two stages:
• Stage I encompasses the connection of the Lwówek, Kotowo and Krobia nodes (approximately 114 km).
• Stage II encompasses the connection of the Krobia and Odolanów nodes (approximately 54 km).

In August 2015, the Regional Director for Environmental Protection in Poznań issued the decision on environmental conditions for the project involving the construction of the Lwówek-Odolanów gas pipeline including the infrastructure necessary for its operation (decision ref. No.: WOO 11.4203.3.2014.WM.30).

The contractor of the conceptual design, construction design and the working design of the project selected by public tender is ILF Consulting Engineers Polska.
In December 2015 GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. completed the design documentation and obtained the building permission.

In January 2017, GAZ-SYSTEM signed contracts with contractors of construction works for both stages.

The contractor of the construction works of the first stage of the project is the Consortium of PORR Polska Infrastructure S.A. and O.T. Industries-KW Contractor CO. LTD.

The contractor of the construction works of the second stage of the project is the Consortium of JT S.A. and IMP PROMONT d.o.o.

The commissioning of the 2nd stage (Krobia-Odolanów) will be completed by 15 June 2018, the operational handover (including the occupancy permit) will be completed by 11 August 2018, and the completion of the project is scheduled for 30 August 2018.

The completion of construction works for the entire project is planned for the first quarter of 2019.
